Marketing departments are responsible for the personal private information and other likewise sensitive  information that belongs to every person or entity that engages with the organisation via any marketing asset, channel, or means of interaction.  Therefore, strong information security becomes a required condition of the customer experience and a responsibility of the marketing department.
